As the year starts to come to a close, I thought it would be a great time to stop and give recognition to all the great new additions to K-pop this year! So let's get started!
10.TROY
Debut Date: March 4, 2014
Debut Song: "Green Light"
Imagine that Zion. T. was a group...and then like also rapped, kind of like Zico. This is TROY. As a lover of classic R&B, I fell for TROY as soon as I heard " Green Light." Smooth vocals, smooth flow, sweet melodies, I really suggest any one who's into the Primary, Amoeba Culture, and AOMG scene to check them out because it'll definitely be worth your time.9.

Yes I know Taemin debuted with SHINee back in 2008. But the Taemin we were shown in his solo debut was a different person entirely. It's very obvious that Taemin was very much influenced but MJ when planning this comeback, but he still managed to show a unique color of his own. "Danger" was the perfect pop song and Taemin's dark concept gave the whole thing a spicy edge.
8. Park Bo Ram
Debut Date:August 7th 2014
Debut Song: "Beautiful"
Park Bo Ram is really the unsung of this year. Her debut song "Beautiful" was not only catchy, but it managed to maintain a top 5 position on the charts throughout the entirety of the summer. However, without the support of a fan base, she was never able to snag herself first place on any of the weekly music shows. I just hope that with her next comeback she'll be able to gain more fans and support because she definitely deserves it.

Debut Date: August 15 -17 (Idk help)
2014 Debut Song: "Empty"
Now despite my ranking, I'm almost certain that this group is going to sweep the new artists awards this year thanks to their hit, "Empty." They managed to uphold the YG "monster rookie" trend by not only debuting with a number one single, but managing to snag an all kill on various online music charts.Now with all these achievements you're probably wondering why they are not number one on my list. In all honesty, I really didn't enjoy their album very much. Aside from "I'm Him" by Mino and "Empty", nothing really stood out to me. However, I do recognize their talent and I can wait to see what they comeback with in the future.(Hopefully it will be a little bit more upbeat!)
6.Almeng
Debut Date: April 9th 2014
Debut Song: "Let's Forget"
First of all I need to get some thing off of my chest.
THEY ARE CO-ED AND THEY'RE LIKE EXTREMELY GOOD AT RAPPING AND SINGING SEND HELP!
*clears throat* Thank You.
Anyway, these two are another product of KPOP STAR, coming in fourth place during season 3.Like I raved about before, they are a duo and they sing and they rap...like REALLY well. Last month they released their debut album and I wept for 30 nights because it brought so much pleasure to my ears. I don't know how to wrap this up because I have a lot of feelings but you should go check them out.
